A motorcycle driver was killed and his passenger was slightly injured after they accidentally bumped into a bus at R. Lacson-Gustilo Streets, Barangay II-A, Manapla, Tuesday.
Police identified the fatality as John Michael Conol, while the injured was identified as Randy Bonda, both residents of Barangay Punta Mesa in the said town.
Manapla municipal police commander, Police Chief Inspector Edencio Gregorio, said Conol was driving his motorcycle fast when he lost control and bumped the side of a bus.
The motorcycle was then run over by the bus, killing Conol on the spot.
The bus driver, identified as Lucibar Vergara, was temporarily detained by police, but was later freed after the reglementary period passed and no charges were filed./WDJ
