2015 World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA) medalist and high school teacher Sharie Faith Binas of Iloilo will be holding her first concert tomorrow, March 25, at the Angelicum Chapel Iloilo.
After earning a grant to study musical theater at the New York Film Academy, all proceeds from the event will go towards her tuition and expenses in New York City.
An alumni of West Visayas State University with a degree in music education, Binas was part of the Iloilo Prima Galaw, Inc. production of Miss Saigon in 2013.
In 2015, she was Team Philippines delegate at the 2015 WCOPA, where she earned a silver medal in opera and a bronze medal in the vocal broadway category.
During her concert, she will be accompanied by fellow Ilonggo performers The Baganihan Singers, along with Ilonggo delegates of last year’s WCOPA.
