An American citizen was found dead inside his residence at Purok Daisy, Barangay Bongbong, Valencia town, Negros Oriental, yesterday morning.
Police identified the fatality as 76-year-old Andre Joseph Roy, a resident of the said barangay.
Valencia town police said Roy’s lifeless remains were discovered by his Filipina wife around 4:30 a.m.
Based on their initial probe, they did not find any signs of foul play on the victim’s remains or in the house itself.
Roy’s wife said the victim was reportedly suffering from an illness, which could have been the cause of his death.
The victim’s remains are scheduled to undergo a post mortem examination to determine the cause of death./WDJ
