The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) Religious Education Department held its 18th Solidarity Day yesterday, which started with a walk for life, where participants expressed their opposition to the death penalty, abortion, suicide, drug abuse, premarital sex, and extrajudicial killings.
Opening ceremonies took place at the UNO-R gymnasium, with an exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and a “Live Pure” talk and forum.
The forum closed its first session with the praying of the Angelus and resumed after lunch.
Rev. Fr. Rocelo Villarosa, later, presided over a eucharistic celebration that afternoon.
The event closed with a candle-lighting ceremony, which symbolizes spreading good news and sharing the light./WDJ
