Ice Sportswear wrapped up the Best-of-3 finals series of the Toby’s Sports Bacolod Inter-Barkada Basketball Tournament at the STI-West Negros University gym, defeating POC, 94-87, in Game 3, winning the series, 2-1.
Following the first period, POC held a narrow lead, up 24-23. However, following a 24-16 run in the second quarter, Ice Sportswear entered the break leading 47-40.
POC was able to narrow the gap slightly, heading into the final period behind, 66-64.
Elvin Diaz led the champions with 16 points, all scored in the second half, while Justin Baldonado contributed 13 and Jay Herrera added 10.
Despite the loss, Gerald Abrot still managed to deliver an impressive 19 points for POC./WDJ
