No vending at city markets

The city government of Bacolod will begin implementing their “No Vending” policy at the city’s three public markets.
From 6:00 a.m. until midnight, vending is strictly prohibited at Central Market, Burgos Market, and along Amelia, Hernaez, and Mabini streets at Libertad Market.
The new policy was discussed, yesterday, during a meeting between Executive Assistant Ernesto Pineda and various sectors at the old City Hall.
Policies regarding formal garbage pick-up hours and daily flushing of the markets were also brought up in the meeting.
Garbage pick-up at Libertad Market will be conducted between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and at 2:00 p.m. at Burgos Market; and no later than 7:00 a.m. at Central Market.
Meanwhile, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) will be conducting daily flushing inside and quarterly flushing outside each market. Flushings will be conducted on March 15 at 9:00 a.m. at Libertad Market; on March 16 at 8:00 p.m. at Central Market; and on March 17 at 1:00 p.m. at Burgos Market./WDJ
