An Australian national was allegedly stabbed to death by an employee of his poultry farm at Sitio Iglahod, Barangay To-oy, Himamaylan City, Saturday afternoon.
Police identified the fatality as 74-year-old Warren Hill, the owner of the said farm.
Himamaylan City police deputy, Police Senior Inspector Raymundo Franco, said, based on their initial investigation, the suspect, identified as 20-year-old Robert Flores, was trying to clean up and preparing to go to sleep, along with a female helper, when Hill allegedly confronted him for an unknown reason.
Franco said the victim threatened to fire Flores, believed to be the reason why the suspect stabbed Hill multiple times.
Hill was rushed to the Himamaylan City District Hospital, where he was later declared dead on arrival.
Police are currently conducting a manhunt operation against Flores, and have also asked the Philippine Army deployed in the area for assistance./WDJ
