A taxi driver was held at gunpoint by a still-unidentified robber at Villa Angela Subdivision, Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City, late Monday evening.
Police identified the victim as 49-year-old Rolando Potato, a resident of Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City.
According to the victim, the suspect boarded his taxi in front of the Rizal Elementary School around 11:00 p.m.
The suspect asked the driver to be brought to Villa Angela Subdivision and, upon arrival, declared a hold-up by pointing an unknown type of weapon at Potato’s neck.
The suspect demanded the victim to give up his P2,800 in earnings and ordered him out of the vehicle.
The unidentified robber drove away, leaving Potato in the area.
Yesterday morning, Potato went to Aksyon Radyo-Bacolod for help in finding his lost taxi.
A few hours later, the vehicle was found at Henrietta Village, Barangay Singcang.
Police Station 4 (PS4), meanwhile, has yet to determine the identity of the robbery suspect, and is still conducting an investigation./WDJ
