City employees and supporters of Carlmalone Montecido gathered at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC), yesterday, to watch his performance on the “Ang Huling Tapatan” competition, part of the “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” segment on ABS-CBN noontime show “It’s Showtime.”
Performing “Estudyante Blues” by Freddie Aguilar, the visually-impaired singer from Barangay 29 registered a total 91.4 percent of the text votes, advancing him to the ultimate grand finals, set to take place this Saturday at the Resorts World Manila in Pasay City.
“We continue to be very proud of Carlmalone’s latest victory,” said Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia.
The mayor, who is currently in Manila, said he sent a text vote once lines were opened.
