Three alleged drug suspects were arrested by members of Police Station 2 (PS2) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Negros Island Region (PDEA-NIR), after they were caught using illegal drugs at Purok Sigay, Barangay 2, Bacolod City, late Wednesday evening.
Police identified the suspects as 21-year-old Carlo Jimeno, a resident of Barangay 2; Shander Suhot, 26, a resident of Barangay Sum-ag; and Jomar Pamutang, 24, of Barangay Handumanan.
According to PS2 commander, Police Chief Inspector Benedicto Villarias, his men, along with PDEA-NIR agents, were supposed to serve an arrest warrant for a certain Corazon Jimenez on drug-related charges. However, after failing to serve the warrant, since Jimenez was not at home, they discovered the suspects in the act of snorting illegal drugs, which led to their arrest.
Cops recovered three sachets (two big, one small) of suspected shabu, suspected drug money worth P270, and drug paraphernalia.
All three suspects are facing illegal drugs charges and are detained at PS2.
Jimenez, meanwhile, is still being hunted down by police./WDJ
