Manila Beer Light beat Rotary Club of Metro Bacolod/Rexidol-Cobra, 69-66, and Colt 45 defeated Tanduay Ice, 73-57, in their quarterfinal games in the ongoing Fil-Sino Athletic Club-Asia Brewery Invitational Cup 2017 at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School gym.
Manila Beer Light next meets Brew Kettle, while Colt 45 faces ESJ & Sons-Asahi in the semifinals.
Manila Beer Light took a one-point, 21-20, lead following the first period, which was extended to 37-32 at the half.
However, the game tightened after the third, with Rotary closing the gap to two points, lagging 53-51.
Bobil Alagaban led Manila Beer Light with 14 points, followed by Brix Arrobang with 10.
Despite the loss, Ronald Despi delivered 21 points for Rotary.
In the other game, Marguilan Macainan led Colt 45 with 18 points./WDJ
