Two people, a father and son, were slightly injured after their tricycle accidentally bumped a car in Fortune Town, Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City, Thursday evening.
Police identified the victim as 27-year-old Jeffrey Gequillana, while they withheld the identity of his seven-year-old son.
According to Police Station 4 (PS4) traffic investigator, Police Officer 2 (PO2) Jun Garong, Gequillana rammed head-on against a car driven by 60-year-old Palacious John Verona, while he was trying to overtake another vehicle.
Both father and son incurred several injuries across their bodies and were rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) following the incident.
Garong added the tricycle driver was believed to be under the influence of alcohol.
No charges are expected to be filed as both sides are negotiating a settlement./WDJ
