Alleged ‘Akyat Bahay’ member nabbed by PS2

An alleged member of the infamous “Akyat Bahay” gang was arrested by members of Police Station 2 (PS2) at an establishment at 6th-Lacson Street, Bacolod City, Friday afternoon.
Police identified the suspect as Ruben Santillan, a resident of Barangay Santa Rosa, Murcia, Negros Occidental.
PS2 commander, Police Chief Inspector Benedicto Villarias, said Santillan was a prime suspect in several alleged burglary incidents in his area and has also been previously arrested for theft.
In one incident, Santillan allegedly hit a hardware store in the city and stole several welding machines, power tools, and two boxes of paint.
During his arrest, cops recovered one electric hand drill from the suspect.
Santillan, meanwhile, claimed he has three other cohorts currently operating in the city.
The suspect is facing theft charges and is detained at PS2./WDJ
