Bacolod City Mayor Greg Gasataya will deliver his first State of the City Address (SOCA) at the lobby of the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) today.

Secretary to the Mayor Marty Go said Gasataya is expected to present his accomplishments under the HEART Agenda.

HEART stands for Health; Education, Economic and Environmental Sustainability; Access to Basic Services, Agriculture, Animal Welfare, Technology, and Housing; Reliability in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management; and Traffic Management, Transportation and Tourism.

Gasataya first introduced the HEART Agenda during his inaugural address in 2025.

Go said the mayor will also present the city’s ongoing projects, as well as the programs and initiatives that Bacolodnons can expect in the third and fourth quarters of the year.

He said the event will be attended by barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials, various stakeholders, and partners of the city government.

He added that it will be a simple SOCA ceremony.

House deputy speaker and Bacolod City Lone District Representative Alfredo Abelardo Benitez is also expected to attend the event.

Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Claudio Puentevella said the Sangguniang Panlungsod will hold its regular session this morning before suspending it in the afternoon to give way to the mayor’s SOCA.

Puentevella said the mayor’s SOCA forms part of the city council’s session, as it serves as his one-year report to the people of Bacolod./MAP, WDJ
