An estimated P14.110 million worth of suspected shabu was seized in a drug buy-bust operation at Purok Kamunsil in Bacolod City’s Barangay 3 on Sunday, July 5.

The operations also led to the arrest of 25-year-old alias “Wayway,” a resident of Purok Bolinao in Barangay 1.

“Wayway” was arrested after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer around 9:50 p.m., Bacolod City Police Officer Director Colonel Eugene Rebadomia said.

Police recovered several plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 2,075 grams and marked money.

Rebadomia said the suspect, who is considered as a high-value drug personality, was monitored operating in the areas of Barangays 1, 4, 35, and other adjacent villages.

Police said “Wayway” started to be an illegal drug runner earlier this year after his wife gave birth to their third child.

He had allegedly received suspected shabu from his source through a cellphone call as instructed and subsequently delivered it to his downline in different locations within Bacolod City.

The suspect is currently detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 2.

He will face charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./MAP, WDJ
