An estimated P2.584 million worth of suspected shabu was seized in a drug bust operation at Purok Malipayon in Bacolod City’s Barangay 12 yesterday.
The operation also led to the arrest of 42-year-old “Albert,” a resident of Barangay Taculing’s Purok Gonzaga.
Bacolod City Police Office Director Colonel Eugene Rebadomia said the suspect was arrested by operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit after he sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer around 12:24 p.m.
Recovered from the suspect were several plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 380 grams and the marked money.
Rebadomia said the suspect, considered as a high-value individual, is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 1.
He is facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
He said they are now conducting further investigation to determine the supplier of the suspect./MAP, WDJ
