Authorities are eyeing two angles in the killing of a 43-year-old man inside an internet cafe in Bacolod City’s Barangay Sum-ag on Monday, June 1.
Police identified the victim as alias “Butsoy,” a resident of Purok San Miguel in the village.
Bacolod City Police Office Director Colonel Eugene Rebadomia said the victim was inside the computer shop at 2:20 a.m. when unidentified assailants on board a motorcycle fired at him several times and fled.
The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
He was brought to South Bacolod General Hospital, but he did not survive.
Police recovered from the scene of the crime seven fired cartridges from a .45 caliber revolver and four fired bullets from a .45 caliber revolver.
Rebadomia said they are looking into personal grudges and illegal drugs as the possible motives for the killing of the victim.
He said they were informed that the victim was allegedly involved in illegal drugs, but they are still gathering evidence.
Rebadomia also directed Police Station 9 to check all the closed-circuit television cameras to determine the identity of the perpetrators./MAP
