The Maranatha Christian College Centurions finished as first runner-up in the She Cup Thailand, capping off a strong international campaign that drew praise from the Negros football community.
The Centurions secured the silver medal in the tournament, a result that highlighted the team’s competitiveness against regional opponents and underscored the growing strength of football development in Negros.
Leading the team were goalkeeper Hannah Bagomboy and field players Nathalie Rhaine Andres, Yannah Marie Amar, Marinel Gonzales, Princess Myel Deferia, Cyrlizene Ibañez, Quirah Antonette Relos, Marcela Tricia Lachica, and Reinna Marcelino.
The squad was reinforced by regional standouts, including goalkeeper Janezza Merliah Gerafil of Silay Lokal FC and Leighton Glenilou Fuentebella of Pamplona de Pontevedra FC, who contributed to the team’s successful run.
Guiding the Centurions were head coach Christian Earl Bona and assistant coach Joel Rerner Guay, whose leadership helped steer the team through a competitive field.
The result marked a significant milestone for Maranatha Christian College and reflected the depth of talent in Negros, as the team not only represented their school but also carried the banner for their region in an international competition./ASC, WDJ
