Police arrested a Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) kagawad and two other suspected drug personalities in a buy-bust operation that yielded more than P700,000 worth of suspected shabu in Bacolod City’s Barangay 2 yesterday.
Arrested were 19-year-old alias “Jess,” a high-value individual; 23-year-old alias “Jov,” an elected SK kagawad of Barangay 12; and 18-year-old alias “JM,” tagged as a street-level individual.
All three are residents of different barangays in Bacolod City.
Operatives of Police Station 2 seized an estimated 105 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P714,000 during the operation conducted at Purok Sigay.
The operation stemmed from intelligence information provided by a confidential informant, who reported that alias “Jess” was actively distributing illegal drugs in Barangays 2, 10 and 12.
Authorities said the poseur buyer met the suspects at a designated area, where the illegal transaction was consummated.
Recovered from the suspects were a P1,000 buy-bust bill, a blue sling bag, two coin purses, one knot-tied transparent plastic bag containing suspected shabu, and 15 sachets of suspected shabu.
The suspects remain in the custody of Police Station 2, BCPO, and will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./CJ, WDJ
