Negrense guard SJ Belangel and the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus absorbed another setback after bowing to Kevin Quiambao and the Goyang Sono Skygunners, 77-67, in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) at the Daegu Gymnasium.

The defeat dropped Daegu to a 9-20 record, further denting its campaign, while Goyang improved to 10-18 to remain in contention for the sixth and final playoff spots.

Belangel struggled to find his rhythm for the Pegasus, finishing with eight points, three rebounds and three assists on 3-of-10 shooting as Daegu failed to keep pace after an early deficit.

Goyang seized control from the opening quarter, racing to a 24-14 lead and dictating the tempo for most of the game.

Quiambao contributed across the board with eight points, six rebounds, three assists, and a steal, providing steady support in a balanced Skygunners’ effort.

Nathan Knight carried the scoring load for Goyang, posting 25 points, 13 rebounds and four assists to anchor the Skygunners’ attack.

Veteran big man Ra Gun Ah led Daegu in the loss with 15 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and a block.

However, the Pegasus could not recover as they slipped deeper into the lower half of the KBL standings./ASC, WDJ
