Tay Tung rules Bacolod City Meet secondary volleyball

Bacolod Tay Tung High School, representing Unit 5, stamped its class in the secondary girls division of the Bacolod City Division Meet volleyball tournament, clinching the championship on Monday, December 8, at the Montalbo Gym.

The Thunderbolts dominated both the finals and the individual awards, highlighted by Rhosé Viane Almendralejo’s standout performance.

The Unit 5 spiker earned Best Outside Hitter honors and was also named finals Best Player and Most Valuable Player.

Briana Nikola Ang joined her on the winners’ list after securing Best Middle Blocker, while Zelveir Faith Banguiao added another middle-blocking plum for Tay Tung.

Setter Jan Rose Bulak was recognized as Best Setter, and Maria Shannen Bañas took home the Best Libero award.

Daniela Anne Saluria delivered from the service line to win Best Server, while Roemel Tañiñas was named Best Coach.

Unit 4’s Micah Ella Melligen (Best Outside Hitter) and Erikha Bless Toleco (Best Opposite Hitter) rounded out the individual awardees.

Tay Tung’s championship roster featured Almendralejo, Ang, Bulak, Alexa Bertolano, Jhanine Mayang, Luchi Vivero, Banguiao, Ana Ysabelle Hermosura, Memielle Letran, Saluria, and Bañas./ASC, WDJ
