De La Salle University standout Hannah Delotavo shone bright on the final day of the UAAP Season 88 women’s athletics championships, anchoring the Lady Green Tracksters to a gold medal finish in the 4×400-meter relay at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium in Capas, Tarlac.

Delotavo teamed up with Erica Ruto, Ashley Tabad and Lea Ordinario to clock 3:53.09, edging powerhouse Far Eastern University (FEU) (3:53.23) and the University of the East (3:59.83) in a thrilling finish that capped La Salle’s campaign on a high note.

Earlier in the meet, Delotavo also clinched a bronze medal in the 400-m hurdles, finishing with a time of 1:04.28, behind FEU’s Jecel Vivas (1:01.19) and Marilou Caduyac (1:03.67).

Despite falling short of gold in the individual event, the Negros Occidental’s Silay City native Delotavo’s strong anchor leg in the relay sealed her standout performance of the tournament.

Her efforts helped the Lady Green Tracksters secure third overall in the women’s division with 217.5 points, behind champion FEU (373.5) and runner-up University of Santo Tomas (242).

Meanwhile, FEU reclaimed its dominance to clinch a record-extending 26th UAAP women’s athletics title, with Edna Magtubo earning Most Valuable Player honors and rookie Jecel Vivas taking the Rookie of the Year award.

Magtubo, a sophomore from Iloilo, captured double golds in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters and added a silver in the 3,000-m steeplechase.
