Robert Bolick steered the NLEX Road Warriors to a bounce-back victory, moving past the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, 105-91, in the PBA 50 Philippine Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City on Saturday, November 8.
The former San Beda University star had his way with 28 points, six rebounds and five assists as they recovered from their 74-104 defeat to the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings for their fifth win in seven outings.
Also making things possible was JB Bahio, who impressed with 17 points, 13 rebounds and five assists for NLEX, which dominated by as many as 22, while Xyrus Torres chipped in 15 markers on 3-of-5 shooting from long range.
On the other hand, the Elasto Painters were handed their second loss in seven games despite Jhonard Clarito’s 26 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
Gabe Norwood and Adrian Nocum both had 12 while Santi Santillan notched 10, but their 16-of-34 shooting from beyond the arc could not overcome NLEX’s inside presence.
The Road Warriors scored 56 points in the paint as the Painters missed the presence of Keith Datu (out for the season) and Caelan Tiongson in the middle. (ABS-CBN News)
