Twenty-two houses were destroyed while a business establishment was affected by three separate fire incidents within hours in Bacolod City from Wednesday night, November 5, until early morning yesterday, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said, stating that there were no reported casualties or injuries following the blazes.
BFP-Bacolod said the first fire incident at Limmans Center Inn along Luzuriaga Street in Barangay 26, at 8:26 p.m. on Wednesday was caused by a generator set at the establishment.
The fire was declared under control by 8:30 p.m.
Estimated damage reached P15,000.
Shortly after, at 8:56 p.m., another fire broke out at Purok Riverside, Barangay Banago, damaging 15 residential houses.
The fire reached first alarm at 9:00 p.m. and was declared under control 15 minutes later, and fireout at 9:19 p.m.
The incident affected 30 individuals from 15 families, with 12 houses totally damaged and three partially burned, covering a 400-square-meter area.
An estimated P100,000 worth of property was lost to the fire.
A total of 31 BFP personnel, supported by multiple fire engines, an ambulance, and a rescue truck, responded to the scene.
The third fire was reported at 12:38 a.m. yesterday at Purok Paghidaet, Barangay Tangub.
The blaze consumed seven residential structures owned by Liezel Celiz, affecting 14 families or about 30 individuals.
Firefighters raised the first alarm at 12:42 a.m., declaring the fire under control at 12:54 a.m., and fireout past 1:00 a.m.
The damage was estimated at P75,000, with five houses totally destroyed and two partially damaged.
Authorities confirmed that no one was injured or killed in the three incidents.
