The Farm Fresh Foxies bounced back strong from their previous setback, defeating the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, 25-18, 25-13, 18-25, 26-24, in the 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference at the Playtime FilOil Center in San Juan City.
Negrense libero Alyssa Bertolano returned from a one-game absence to tally 10 excellent receptions as the Foxies recovered from their recent defeat to improve to a 4-1 win-loss slate.
“I have three days before the Choco Mucho game. So pagbalik ko, binigyan ako ni coach ng time ng training, one on one, para lang makabalik ako at hindi ako manibago sa loob ng court,” Bertolano said.
“Buti naman at nakapag-adjust ako nang mabilis,” she added.
Helene Rousseaux spearheaded Farm Fresh’s attack with 27 points built on 25 kills and two blocks, while Trisha Tubu contributed 17 markers in the victory.
“I think it’s very important to have different abilities as a team to be able to win consistently,” Farm Fresh head coach Alessandro Lodi said.
“And to try to be at the top of the league and of the conference,” he said.
“I’m sure you have to play with quality and, at times, be able to dominate the games like we did in the first two sets, but that is not normal. The opponents have the ability to play better, and you cannot play the perfect game all the time. So you have to add the second ability, which is to play gritty,” he added.
Meanwhile, Kat Tolentino led the Flying Titans with 12 points, while Honey Royce Tubino and Madeleine Madayag added 11 and 10, respectively.
Import Anyse Marlee Smith was limited to just four points in three sets of action for the Flying Titans.
Meanwhile, the Capital1 Solar Energy Power Spikers displayed nerves of steel to complete a stunning 25-23, 25-23, 25-21 sweep of the Cignal Super Spikers.
Mhicaela Belen spearheaded the charge with 11 points built on 10 attacks and a service ace, while also tallying 14 excellent digs to earn Player of the Game honors as Capital1 improved to a 2-2 record in Pool A./ASC, WDJ
