An 11-year-old boy was struck by lightning inside his house at Hacienda Consolacion Limhap in Bacolod City’s Barangay Granada on Wednesday, October 15.

Police said the victim was lying down and hugging his mother when he was struck by lightning that passed through the gap in their bamboo wall at 3:40 pm.

The minor was hit in the chest, his hair was burned, and his short pants were also damaged.

Authorities said this is not the first time that someone has been struck by lightning in the area.

The victim’s grandfather was also struck by lightning in their house, police said./WDJ
