Champions rose from every division in the 1st Mayor Greg Gasataya 3×3 Basketball Tournament at the Villamonte Gymnasium and Covered Court, drawing Bacolod’s top young athletes and basketball enthusiasts for two days of intense competition.

Leading the charge, the UNO-R Rams, Bobcats, Kap Udol, and DRFI emerged as champions in the 12-under, 15-under, 18-under, and open categories, respectively — each proving that Bacolod’s basketball spirit burns bright across generations.

In the 12-under division, UNO-R Rams claimed the championship title, with LJS Villamonte finishing as first runner-up and CBBC 1 as second runner-up.

The 15-under division saw the Bobcats dominate the court, followed by Tsidkenu and GBL.

For the 18-under division, Kap Udol powered their way to victory, with LJS Villamonte and CBL taking runner-up honors.

Capping the tournament, the open category delivered thrilling action as DRFI secured the overall championship, while ERZAH and Knights of Raven rounded out the Top 3.

Spearheaded by Mayor Greg Gasataya, the inaugural tournament celebrated not just athletic excellence but also youth empowerment, sportsmanship and community pride — affirming Bacolod’s deep-rooted love for basketball./ASC, WDJ
