The San Carlos City Negros Football Club (SCCNFC) announced that 12 teams will compete in the U16 Boys Pintaflores Cup National Invitational, which kicks off this October as part of the city’s annual Pintaflores Festival.
Organizers earlier extended the deadline for confirmation to August 15, allowing more clubs to finalize their participation.
With a full lineup now secured, the teams will be divided into three groups of four for the group stage matches.
The official list of participating squads and groupings will be released in the coming days.
“This will be one of the most competitive tournaments yet,” the SCCNFC said in a statement, adding that the extension gave more teams time to prepare.
The Pintaflores Cup has become a centerpiece of San Carlos City’s festival, serving both as a showcase of youth football and a platform for young athletes from the Visayas and Mindanao.
Known for its high level of play, it remains one of the highlights of the local football calendar.
With the roster complete, organizers are finalizing match schedules and logistical preparations.
