The Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles and Adamson University Lady Falcons are set to showcase UAAP volleyball action in Western Visayas with a pair of exhibition matches this weekend, highlighted by their clash in Bacolod City.
The two squads will square off on Sunday, September 21, at Bacolod National High School, where fans will have the chance to witness top-level collegiate volleyball up close.
Tickets for the Bacolod leg are priced at P450 for bleachers, P550 for courtside and P750 for behind the bench.
Adding a local flavor to the matchup, Ateneo will parade Negrense standouts Katherine Shaine Cortez, Jihan Chuatico, Alex Montoro, and Dona Mae de Leon, together with Ilongga setter Ana Hermosura.
On the other hand, Adamson will be bannered by Alas Pilipinas mainstay Shaina Nitura and Ilongga libero Athea Aposaga, mentored by Negrense coach JP Yude.
Before the Bacolod showdown, the Blue Eagles and Lady Falcons will first lock horns at the City of Passi Arena on Saturday, September 20 at 5:30 p.m.
The Passi City match will be free to the public and will also feature a curtain-raiser between Santa Clarita International School and the University of San Agustin.
With homegrown talents on both sides, the weekend twin-bill is expected to draw strong support from Western Visayas fans eager to celebrate both elite competition and regional pride./ASC, WDJ
