The Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NOrPPO) has a new officer-in-charge (OIC) effective yesterday following the reassignment of Colonel Ronan Claravall.
Colonel Criscente Tiguelo assumed office during a turnover of command ceremony at the NOrPPO headquarters at Camp Fernandez in Agan-an, Sibulan, Negros Oriental late yesterday afternoon.
Brigadier General Arnold Thomas Ibay, Director of the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR), led the change of command ceremony.
In a statement from the PRO-NIR, Ibay expressed confidence in Tiguelo’s leadership.
“We remain committed to ensuring peace and order in Negros Oriental,” Ibay said.
Ibay said they expect continuity of strong law enforcement initiatives aligned with the mission and vision of PRO-NIR and the Philippine National Police (PNP).
In the same statement, PRO-NIR reaffirmed its commitment to the people of Negros Island that the command continues to prioritize responsive, community-focused policing based on transparency, accountability, and professionalism.
Before his designation as OIC of NOrPPO, Tiguelo was formerly the chief of the Regional Operations Division of PRO-NIR. He was a member of the PNP Academy (PNPA) Class 2000.
Claravall, a member of PNPA Class 1999, will be transferred to the Directorate for Operations at the Camp Crame national headquarters in Quezon City. (PNA)
