NORFA Champions League heads to crucial stage this weekend

The NORFA Champions League will enter its cluster elimination and wild card rounds this weekend, with matches scheduled for August 30 to 31 in Negros Occidental’s Talisay City and Victorias City.

The U13 division will hold its elimination matches at the Christopher Estate North Football Hub in Talisay.

On Field No. 1, the North Cluster’s top-ranked team will face the second-ranked squad from North Cluster 2, while North Cluster 1’s second seed meets North Cluster 2’s top seed.

Field No. 2 will feature the Central Cluster’s Top 2 teams.

Losing teams will advance to a losers’ bracket, where South Cluster squads Himamaylan FC and La Carlota City await a shot at a wild card berth.

The U17 competition will kick off at Victorias National High School in Victorias.

North Cluster 2’s top-ranked team will meet North Cluster 1’s second seed, while North Cluster 1’s top seed takes on North Cluster 2’s second-ranked squad.

Winners will secure spots in the quarterfinals as the tournament continues its search for the best youth football clubs in Negros./ASC, WDJ
