The Chery Tiggo Crossovers’ run to the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) On Tour finals is anchored on two things: faith and teamwork.
Bacolodnon spiker Pauline “Ponggay” Gaston said everyone in the squad contributed to their semifinal victory over the Cignal HD Spikers on Tuesday night, August 12.
“Definitely it’s a whole team effort — whether training players, the coaching staff, PT [physiotherapist], or S&C [strength and conditioning coach] — gumana siya kaya nandito kami sa finals,” Gaston told Abante Sports Now’s Enchong Nicolas.
As they head into the championship, Gaston said the Crossovers are keeping their mindset simple, focusing on joy and trust.
“Wala kaming expectation [sa finals] bukod sa maglalaro kami ng masaya, to give our all, and to leave it to the Lord,” she said.
