A 65-year-old man was arrested following the recovery of an estimated P1.7 million worth of suspected shabu during a joint buy-bust operation at Barangay Marina in Negros Occidental’s Binalbagan town yesterday.

Alias “Roming,” a resident of Barangay Marina, was caught in possession of two vacuum-sealed transparent plastic sachets and six heat-sealed sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu.

The total confiscated drugs weighed approximately 250 grams.

Non-drug items, including paraphernalia and other pieces of evidence, were also recovered at the scene.

Roming is now in the custody of the municipal police as authorities prepare to file appropriate charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./CJ, WDJ
