The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) on Tour at the City of Passi Arena in Iloilo province’s Passi City this weekend will feature five volleybelles who traced their roots from Negros Occidental.

Among the Negrense volleybelles are Pauline Gaston, Erika Jin Deloria and Reyann Cañete from the Chery Tiggo Crossovers; Caroline Santos from ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles; and Maria Jessa Ordiales from the Cignal HD Spikers.

Scheduled matches this Saturday, July 19, are between the Thunderbelles and the Creamline Cool Smashers at 4:00 p.m., followed by the encounter between the Crossovers and the HD Spikers at 6:30 p.m.

On Sunday, July 20, the HD Spikers will square off with the Thunderbelles at 4:00 p.m., followed by the Cool Smashers-Crossovers match up in the main game at 6:30 p.m.

“We are very thankful to the PVL for allowing Passi City to host a pair of double-header PVL on Tour games,” Gametime Sports founder Rodolfo Go Villaruz told Watchmen Daily Journal.

“The Ilonggo volleyball fans were very much looking forward to this since before the pandemic hit us as this was an opportunity for them to be closer to their volleyball idols again,” he added./ASC, WDJ
