A 21-year-old rider died after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck along the Murcia-Mansilingan Road in Bacolod City’s Barangay Mansilingan on Thursday night, July 10.

Dave Vincent Porque, a resident of Purok Masinadyahon in Barangay Pahanocoy, was declared dead on the spot after showing no signs of pulse or life.

An initial police investigation revealed that Porque was traveling at high speed at 11:26 p.m., when he collided with a pickup truck driven by 29-year-old Juan Carlos Martir of Lolita Heights Subdivision, also in Barangay Mansilingan.

Martir was reportedly heading in the opposite direction toward Negros Occidental’s Murcia town.

Porque was not carrying a driver’s license at the time of the incident, police said.

Both vehicles involved in the accident are now in police custody for proper disposition./CJ, WDJ
