Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts women’s volleyball team manager, Jose Montalbo, was honored for his dedication and contributions to the success of the Bacolodnon athletes in the Palarong Pambansa 2025.

The citation was given by the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Division of Bacolod City to Montalbo in a recent ceremony at the Bacolod Arts Center.

Through his relentless commitment, passion and leadership, the young Bacolodnon volleybelles saw their performances elevated while also bringing pride to Western Visayas.

“His unwavering commitment greatly enhanced the success of Bacolodnon athletes during the 2025 Palarong Pambansa,” the message written on Montalbo’s certificate of appreciation.

Montalbo, for his part, expressed his gratitude towards DepEd-Bacolod for the recognition, saying that this will further inspire him to continue his work.

“Of course, I am grateful with this recognition,” Montalbo said.

“This further inspires me to continue nurturing talent, instilling discipline and fostering teamwork among our student athletes,” he added./ASC, WDJ
