Bacolodnon Sydmond Vista of the Sugarbowl Tenpin Association Inc. (STAI)-Timber Pro clinched the crown in the 2025 Pasig Bowling Association Open Masters event held recently.

Vista, the lone STAI representative in the tournament, showcased remarkable consistency to capture the championship and bring pride to Bacolod City.

After a tightly contested qualifying round, Vista secured the fifth and final spot for the quarterfinals, edging into the semifinals by just one pin.

From there, the young bowler delivered a stellar performance under pressure — culminating in a spectacular finish to capture the championship.

This victory was not only a personal milestone for Vista, but also marks a significant moment for STAI youth bowling, showing that with discipline and determination, local grassroots talent can keep in step with the big names in the sport./ASC, WDJ
