Police operatives confiscated a total of P1.9 million worth of suspected shabu from two drug suspects in separate drug buy-bust operations in Bacolod City.
A 44-year-old man, identified as “Borg,” a resident of Zone 5, Barangay Handumanan, was apprehended during a police operation at 3:40 a.m. on Saturday, June 21.
Police recovered 175 grams of suspected shabu from him, valued at over P1.2 million.
The suspect is currently facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In a separate operation on Friday, June 20, at around 4:00 p.m., the City Drug Enforcement Unit arrested 31-year-old Joseph Angelo Bayag, an alleged thief from Zone 3, Barangay Boulevard, Iloilo City, who was temporarily staying in Barangay 30’s Purok Mapalaron in Bacolod.
Authorities seized six sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 115 grams, along with P1,000 in cash and other non-drug items.
The estimated value of the confiscated drugs is P782,000.
