Five job order employees of the Negros Occidental provincial government tested positive for illegal drug use, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz III said yesterday.
Diaz said the five workers will not have their contracts renewed on July 1, 2025, in accordance with Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson’s policy.
The regular drug testing was conducted on Monday, June 16, with a total of 1,878 employees subjected to the test.
No regular employees in the Capitol tested positive for illegal drugs.
Diaz added that the drug testing is part of the mandate aimed at maintaining a drug-free workplace./CJ, WDJ
