Kaya FC-Iloilo and Stallion Laguna FC battled to a 1-1 draw at the MOA football field, leaving the PFF Women’s League title race hanging in the balance.

Julissa Cisneros saved Kaya’s season with a stoppage-time header, hiking the Mexican forward’s total to 13 goals.

Stallion had appeared headed for a coronation after national team forward Chandler McDaniel put them ahead in the 63rd minute.

Instead, the trophy will stay in the box for now and the league winner will be crowned next weekend.

Stallion remained on top of the league table with 23 points, three clear of Kaya’s 20.

While Stallion has already played its finale, Kaya still has a match in hand at Makati FC on Saturday, June 21.

A win over Makati FC will give Kaya the title, as it currently has a 35-20 goal differential over Stallion.

In the first match, Makati FC rallied from a goal down to beat Capital1, 2-1.

Despite the defeat, the Solar Spikers were able to finish third with 19 points, three ahead of Makati FC’s 16.

Angelica Teves scored the 13th minute opener, but Makati FC was able to rebound courtesy of Kawinthinda Kikuntod a minute after the restart and Gae Yumanda’s 72nd minute strike. (ABS-CBN News)
