Five sachets of suspected shabu were recovered from a man whose remains were found in Bacolod City’s Barangay Alangilan around 6:00 a.m. yesterday.
Major Marc Joiel Reclamado, Bacolod City Police Office Station 5 commander, said the sachets of suspected shabu were recovered from the unidentified person’s pockets while the Scene of the Crime Operatives were examining the body.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the back of the head, police said.
A cardboard sign was found at the crime scene that read, “Winston Bau. Kawatan. Pusher.”
Both of his hands and feet were also bound with duct tape.
A live ammunition of caliber .45 was also recovered from the crime scene.
Police believed that the remains were dumped in the area, as there were no signs that the victim was killed there.
They are still in contact with the victim’s family to determine the motive behind the murder.
“It’s either drug-related because the signage says ‘pusher’ and the recovery of suspected shabu in his right pocket,” Reclamado said.
