Bobcats, SJS enter Chairman’s Cup finals

Team Bobcats and the SP Lineage St. Joseph School-La Salle (SJS) clinched their spots in the 4th Chairman’s Cup Negros 15-and-under division finals following separate semis wins at the Willy and Nolita Au Court in Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS).

The Bobcats punched their ticket to the finals after a dominant 86-55 victory over the Bacolod Trinity Christian School, with Vincent de la Cruz leading the way with 14 points.

Angelo Neal Villoso also made his presence felt for the Bobcats with 13.

Ranel Mabalon added 12 markers, while PJ Rasmo dropped eight points.

Alden Kirk Pabon and Rhett Tabanao ended with seven points each.

On the other hand, SJS secured a hard-fought 62-59 victory over BTTHS.

Tristram Plotria was named Acster Marketing Player of the Game with 20 points.

Meanwhile, in the 17-and-under division, BTTHS advanced to the finals opposite Colegio de San Agustin Bacolod (CSAB) after notching contrasting victories.

BTTHS cruised past the University of St. La Salle, 84-56.

Palarong Pambansa standouts Paul Barcelona and Alfred Ysulan led the way with 17 and 13 points respectively.

Meanwhile, CSAB edged St. Sebastian International School in a physical, fast-paced encounter, 68-62.

Raishem Neil Rojas and Dave Parojinog finished with 15 points each for CSAB./ASC, WDJ
