The Bacolod Tubo Slashers faltered in the second half for a 64-54 defeat to the Pasig City MCW Sports in the 2025 MPBL Season at the Ynares Center in Rizal province on Monday night, April 7.
Holding to a 31-28 lead after the second quarter, the Tubo Slashers misfired in the third quarter.
They were outscored by Pasig, 20-12, to establish a 48-43 advantage.
Pasig’s run continued in the fourth quarter as the lead reached its largest at 13 points at 56-43.
Bacolod made their shots late in the game to cut the deficit to 10 points.
Keith Pido spearheaded the offense for Pasig with 14 points.
Chito Jaime and Warlo James Batac contributed 11 and 10 markers, respectively, to open their campaign on a winning note.
Jaycee Adjel finished with 12 points, eight rebounds and three assists.
Chester Saldua added a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Jan Gabriel Sobrevega contributed 10 markers for 0-1 Bacolod.
