Negrense gymnasts made their presence felt with podium finishes at the start of the WVRAA Meet in San Jose, Antique on Monday afternoon, March 3.

Harmony Garbanzos and Alannah Jeane Lim had gold-silver medal finishes in the elementary girls hoops, rope and free-hand events.

Meanwhile, Matthea Given Efenio won two golds in secondary girls ball and hoop, while Jillian Krishna dela Cruz settled for silver and bronze in ball and hoop, respectively.

In chess, Negrense Ysabella Nabor notched two gold medals in the secondary girls blitz individual and blitz team event with Ellaine Abanco.

On the other hand, Christian Pelione won gold medals in the secondary boys blitz individual and blitz team event with Jhurell Ferrer.
