B.League: Ray Parks Jr. tows Osaka to sweep over Koshigaya

Ray Parks, Jr. and Osaka Evessa completed a sweep of the Koshigaya Alphas in the 2024-2025 Season of the Japan B.League.

The National University product posted 10 points with four rebounds and an assist in their 77-70 victory over Koshigaya at the Ookini Arena Maishima, just a day after their 80-77 win against the same team.

This helped Evessa move to above .500 anew as they now sit at 19-18, enough for fourth place in the Western Division.

Unfortunately, he was the lone Filipino import winner on Sunday, February 9.

Matthew Wright delivered 11 points, three rebounds, two assists, and a steal for the Kawasaki Brave Thunders, but they were dominated by Utsunomiya Brex, 94-74, at the Brex Arena Utsunomiya.

This was their 25th loss in 37 games, and they sit in eighth place in the Central Division.

AJ Edu stuffed the stats sheet with nine points, six rebounds, three steals, and an assist for Nagasaki Velca, but the Fighting Eagles Nagoya got the better of them, 96-65, at the Nagoyashi Inae Sports Center.

It was the 21st loss of Nagasaki in 37 appearances, and they settled for the sixth spot in the Western Division.

Roosevelt Adams, for his part, had nine markers, five boards and a dime in the Yamagata Wyverns’ 79-66 defeat against the Aomori Wat’s at the Kakuhiro Group Super Arena.

This was their second straight loss against the same team, and they are now at 16-23, sixth in the Eastern Division.

Meanwhile, Dwight Ramos and Geo Chiu went blank for their respective teams in each of their losses.

Ramos only appeared for 21 seconds in Levangga Hokkaido’s 73-68 loss against the Gunma Crane Thunders at the Open House Arena Ota.

This put them at 13-24, fifth in the Eastern Division.

Lastly, Chiu received a Did Not Play for the Ehime Orange Vikings in their 79-63 loss against the Kumamoto Volters.
