The University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigresses stayed perfect in the WMPBL Inaugural Season after a 75-32 rout of the PSP Lady Gymers at the New Era University Gym in Quezon City over the weekend.

Negrense Kent Jane Pastrana had an all-around game of 12 markers, six assists, three rebounds, and two steals as the Growling Tigresses improved to a 2-0 win-loss record in the standings.

Karylle Sierba top-scored for UST with 16 points, seven rebounds, five steals, and one assist to be named Player of the Game.

Nicole Anne Danganan added 12 points, five rebounds and two blocks.

“Masaya kami at nakuha namin ‘yung panalo na ito dahil nag-[succeed] ‘yung mahigit isang linggong prinepare namin dito sa kalaban namin,” Sierba said in a post-game interview.

“Nagpapasalamat ako kay coach kasi nandun pa din ‘yung tiwala niya sa akin, and sa mga ates ko na nagga-guide sa akin and nagsasabi kung ano ‘yung mga mali ko,” she said.

“Ang dami ko pang dapat matutunan in preparation sa UAAP,” Sierba added.

Camille Taguiam tallied 13 points and four rebounds.

Fatima Quiapo added 10 points and seven boards for the Terrence Romeo-mentored Lady Gymers, which dropped to a 0-2 record./ASC, WDJ
