The NorthPort Batang Pier dominated the NLEX Road Warriors, 114-87, to open their campaign in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Thursday, November 28, at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.
NLEX led by as much as 16, 25-9, in the first period before NorthPort made a run to close the said frame 29-21 in favor of the former.
However, the tables turned in the second quarter as NorthPort made a 35-point outburst and limited the Road Warriors to just 12 to claim a 56-41 lead at the end of the first half.
It was all NorthPort then as they led by 31 points, 114-87, before the final buzzer was rung.
Arvin Tolentino fired 29 points, while import Kadeem Jack had 25 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals in his debut.
