The Police Regional Office 6 (Western Visayas) has tightened its security measures for First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos who is always in Iloilo for various engagements.

“That is our work to secure them. We will add more security. Because, as I have said, for a Vice President to be saying that, we should treat it as serious,” PRO-6 Director Brigadier General Jack Wank said in a press conference.

Wanky said they will closely coordinate with the Presidential Security Command to ensure better security arrangements for the First Family every time they are in the region.

“Whatever their requirements, we are just here to support,” the top cop of Western Visayas said.

Over the weekend, Vice President Sara Duterte, in an online statement, threatened to have the First Family killed once she gets assassinated.

Meanwhile, Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas, in a statement, called on national leaders to “prioritize resolving differences through peaceful dialogue, support the administration’s efforts, and advance initiatives that will move our country forward.” (PNA)
