The Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts, representing Western Visayas, secured a return trip to the championship round of the Rebisco Volleyball League National Finals at Gameville Park in Mandaluyong City.

The Thunderbolts leaned on the exploits of Rhose Vianne Almendralejo, Alexa Bertolano and Dona Mae de Leon to secure a 25-17, 25-12 sweep over the Kings Montessori School in the semifinals round on Sunday night, November 24.

“We are happy with our return to the championship round, but we still have to win another one to achieve our goal,” Thunderbolts team manager Jose Montalbo said.

“We cannot afford to be complacent,” he added.

Earlier in the tournament, the Thunderbolts swept their group stage games against Notre Dame of Dadiangas University of General Santos City, Corpus Christi School of Cagayan de Oro, Sta. Cruz Academy of Lubao in Pampanga, and University of Batangas in Batangas City.
