Two houses were destroyed in separate fire incidents in Bacolod City’s Barangays Estefania and Mansilingan yesterday.

Fire Officer 2 Rolin Paulan, chief investigator of the Bureau of Fire Protection-Bacolod, said the first fire was reported in Barangay Estefania’s Sunshine Valley around 1:00 a.m.

Paulan said the blaze fully razed two homes owned by Stephanie Artajo, causing an estimated P24,000 in damages.

Initial investigations suggest that the fire was electrical in nature.

Around 8:00 a.m., a fire broke out at a residence owned by Danilo Basco in Purok Encarnacion Bakyas in Barangay Mansilingan.

Paulan said the fire reportedly started from an overheated home appliance.

It resulted in approximately P30,000 in damages.

No injuries were reported in both incidents, Paulan said./JB, WDJ
